Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) – Cambodia

Our client is a rapidly expanding business and home use internet market in Cambodia and has since become one of the kingdom’s leading providers of innovative communications services including fibre optic internet, IPLC, DPLC, MPLS, VPLS and other Internet-based VAS solutions and services.

Role Purpose:

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and execution for the company. This includes developing and executing marketing campaigns, managing the marketing team, and overseeing the marketing budget. The CMO also works closely with other departments, such as sales, product development, and customer service, to ensure that the company’s marketing efforts are aligned with its overall business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Plan and oversee marketing budget to ensure the efficiency and transparency of utilization.
  • Manage marketing team, including training and performance management.
  • Work with other departments to ensure that the company’s marketing efforts are aligned with their goals.
  • Conduct market research and analyse data to identify target audiences to develop and deliver effective marketing messages.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns across a variety of channels, including digital, print, and broadcast.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make necessary adjustments.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Execute tasks as assigned by direct report line or management.
  • Balancing the interests of different stakeholders requires strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Managing a complex marketing ecosystem which involves many different players.
  • Keep up with the constant change of the customer expectations by staying ahead of the curve all the time to ensure effectiveness.
  • Keep up with the constantly evolving trend by being proactive, innovative, strategic, and relevant.
  • Ensure the compliance of laws and regulations.

Working Relationship:

Internally, the CMO will build relationships with:

  • CEO office; SLTs; Finance Department; Technical Department; IT Department; Sales Department; Strategic Department; Employee Experience Department; Administration Department; Legal and Corporate Affairs Department, and Human Resources Department.

Externally, the CMO will build relationships with:

  • Stakeholders; other OpCos of Royal Group; Partners; Customers; Press; and other related CSR related institutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Marketing, Communications or other business-related field.
  • Additional training certifications in digital marketing, communications or other business-related fields are highly preferable.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing with a proven track record of success
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, iii.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
