Our client is a dynamic, fast moving organization that specializes in providing services for trading in the financial markets. With 1000+ employees, they have grown fast since their formation in 2008.
They are looking for experienced market research professionals to be a part of its Research Lab – a division that is responsible for generating & curating impactful insights through primary & secondary research helping the business make informed decisions.
They are looking for smart and ambitious people who would help them understand the market landscape and manage a team of market analysts. This is a unique opportunity to learn about many aspects of our client’s business and be involved in the early stages of an innovative new product.
Your main weapons will be your team, a good understanding of various research techniques, good communication skills and a thorough understanding of our client’s business.
Together with your team, you will be responsible for conducting research pertaining to the industry as well as research about the countries our client operates in. A core part of your job would be to build a world-class market intelligence function that would give easy access to market & competitive intelligence to the entire company.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of market analysts to deliver high-quality researches
- Build and maintain a system for collating, curating and disseminating intelligence reports to the entire company
- Translate data and insights into easy to understand reports for non-technical audiences
- Ensure that the research backlog is accurately estimated and delivered as planned
- Ensure that all research conducted within the team satisfy the business requirements as specified
- Spend part of the time to independently solve problems that correspond to professional skills
- Lead team members in the creation of high-quality research-based solutions within agreed deadlines according to the our client’s company policies and procedures, including hiring, development, performance review and feedback to the team members (together with Line manager, L&D manager and HRBP)
- Train and integrate new team members and proactively support the continued development of existing team members (together with Line manager, L&D manager and HRBP)
- Participate in team goals setting and individual goal setting if needed
- Inspire and motivate team members by his/her own example
- Is aware of each member of the team, their strengths, weaknesses and effectiveness, whilst translating each of their behaviors into clear tasks and objectives to improve their individual performance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with both qualitative and quantitative market research skills, including but not limited to data analysis, competitive intelligence, data synthesis, SWOT analysis, and data-driven recommendations
- Knowledge and experience in working with 3rd party datasets like Gartner, Forrester, Statista, etc.
- Ability to integrate data from multiple sources to generate meaningful insights
- A strong understanding of the CFD or trading business environment will be an added advantage
- Proficiency with research tools, including data analysis software (e.g. SPSS, R), survey tools (e.g. Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, etc.) data analysis & visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong affinity for following standards and best practices
