Ingredients

 

2.5 cm Ginger root, left whole

1 tsp ground cinnamon

5-10 mint leaves

1 tsp local honey

1.5 cups water

 

Method

Place all ingredients in a pot and bring to the boil. Reduce to simmer and allow to steep for 10-15 minutes. Consider adding other nutrient dense ingredients such as goji berries, astragalus, citrus fruit or berries. Pour into your favourite mug or teacup (the one that you most love to hold). As you sip, appreciate the calming sensation that the ginger and mint have on your digestion and nervous system, the blood sugar balancing effect of the cinnamon and the antibacterial action of the honey. Enjoy liberally and often and be soothed!
